Polar Express Day and Shape Fun!

Today we were cozy in our pajamas for Polar Express Day! We read the book and watched the movie. Tomorrow we will talk about how they were alike and how they were different. During math, students had the freedom to move around the room to different shape centers.

Gingerbread Baby Missing!

This week we are reading all the variations of the Gingerbread Man books. We compared and contrasted Gingerbread Baby and Gingerbread Cowboy today. Gingerbread Baby was in our classroom yesterday and today and each time we came back to our room he had moved closer to door! Today, during snack time he escaped! He is missing so we made posters to put up around school so all eyes can help find him. We hope to bring him back to KG before break. If you see him, please let us know.

Hanukkah Celebration

Jordan's dad, Mr. Soshnik, came in and taught us all about Hanukkah! We learned about the menorah and played dreidel in small groups. A big thank you to him!

Building Shapes

This week we explored 3D and 2D shapes. Students built 2D shapes with sticks and counted how many sides and corners the shapes had. They also traced all the faces of our 3D shapes.
