Happy Earth Day!

On Friday, we celebrated Earth Day! We wore our Earth Day t-shirts, had the Principal's Picnic outside, made crowns, and went on a scavenger hunt finding natural resources outside. I hope you had a nice Earth Day with your family this Sunday.

Career Visit

We were so fortunate to have Mr. Beyder come and share with us all about what he does every day at his job. The kids were super engaged in his presentation and all the fun gadgets he brought for us to look at.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

We were so lucky to have a partnership with COCA these past two weeks. Roxane McWilliams worked with us to integrate the arts into learning about the three R's and taking care of our Earth. Here was our final project we did! Students used recyclable materials to create something new.

Art Night Performance

A wonderful job done by the kindergarteners and Ms. Ladue! It was so fun to watch! Thank you to Ani's dad for sending me this adorable video of our class singing at Art Night. Enjoy!

Literacy Centers

Students have been busy in their literacy centers! Lately, we have been working on building tricky words, writing down word families, listening to books on CDs, reading books from our book bags, reading leveled books on the iPads, and doing fun activities on our theme! Take a look at it all in action!

Reading Playdates

Students have been having "reading playdates" with a group of 3-4 people. They are to "play school" with one student being the teacher and the others the student. The "teachers" can play different "games" with their students, such as "Guess What's Next" meaning students have to make predictions about what comes next! They are loving it!
